XC Update - Murray Invite

Darts,
Our attitude and energy was much better this week at the Murray Invite. I think it was the loudest I have EVER heard you sing the school fight song on the bus ride home. I think that is a good thing. I know that we still had our ups and downs at the meet and during the week, but our attitudes were positive all week long and especially at Murray, and it was fun to be a part of it. I think we made a lot of progress together as a TEAM. I like the way you responded to the challenge of being more enthusiastic. Let's carry that energy and fire into this next week as we have our District Championships and the Bob Firman Invitational in Boise, ID.

Murray Invite - We finished the day with 6 TEAM finishes in the top 2 in 6 different races. The boys finished 1st in the Rookie Race (with an individual win by Joe White), 1st in the JV Race (with an individual win by Leland Stenquist), and 2nd in the Varsity Race (with a top 10 finish by Seth Gutzwiller). All of the boys are showing progress, and there were a lot of prs. What we need to do for the next month is continue to work hard, believe in ourselves, and stay patient. We will be as prepared as we can be at the region and state meets, and then anything can happen.
The girls finished in 2nd in the Rookie Girls, 1st in the JV Girls, and 2nd in the Varsity Girls. We were without Candace and Julianne, but Hollie, Jessie, Talya, and Lizzy all stepped up to help us have a solid TEAM race, in addition to top 10 finishes by Katie, Meghan, and Emily.
Both the boys and girls showed that we are strong, deep, and experienced. It is fun to be going for the win in all of the races we enter as a TEAM.
Here are the results of the TEAM, full results can be found at www.runnercard.com:
